Community Organizers Fight Back against the dismissive and disparaging remarks made from the RNC stage over the last few days. As a long term community organizer and supporter, I am far more than offended by the outrageous sense of privilege and disdain shown by the politicians that graced that stage. They want me to vote for them? Well – actually, I don’t think they care for my vote. I’m not part of their demographic – I’m part of the demographic that traditional wisdom says doesn’t vote – poor, urban, with just a high school education and scant job history. Apparently, I’m not the only one offended.
